Welcome to the 2025 VNEA Waikato 8-Ball Championship. This tournament is part of the 2025 VNEA New Zealand Tour. Along with the Waikato Open, the Tour consists of the West Auckland Open, the Counties Open, the Hawera Open, and New Zealand Championship events.
These tournaments will all be ranking events with the points contributing to the overall NZ VNEA rankings that are used to select the team for the 2026 World Champs in Las Vegas. As an added bonus, the highest ranked player from the Tour, excluding league rankings, will earn a place in the 2026 NZ team to compete in the World Champs in Las Vegas! The 2025 VNEA Waikato 8-Ball Championship will be a one-day event starting at 9:00am on Saturday April 19 at Massé Hamilton. The entry fee for senior players is $50, and $10 for junior players. Format will be section play with post-section knockout. First place is guaranteed a minimum of $1,000 with 100% of entry fees paid out as prize money. If time allows, we will also run a plate event. Entry closes on Friday April 18 at noon. |
