Dashboard - Teams

If you are managing team events in any form, this is an important page.

To be in full control at all times, you might want to create all the teams in your league—at least the first time you run a league in CueScore. If your league plays matches in different locations (home/away), that’s another good reason to create all the teams yourself, as you'll also need to create the venues.

Teams you create are listed here, and you have a quick way to manage them—for instance, if you want to add a backup player to a team.

As for all the other dashboard pages, you have a Local search and a Create button in the upper, right corner.

Creating teams

To create a team, start by pressing the Create button. That opens a dialog where you set the team name. Press the Create button in the dialog, and you’ll be taken to the team page:

Important!
If you are running a team or Scotch tournament over a day or two, you should now save and skip to the "Adding players" section below.

If it's a league played in different venues or spans several weeks or a season, continue filling in the information:

Check that the name is spelled correctly and add a description if you'd like.
Represents (Premium only): You can search for and add connected accounts (clubs) if you have a Premium setup.
Make sure to add a venue to the team if the league has home/away matches.

Nationality is usually preset, if not add it.

Preferred weekday & time

This is an important point, as it will make life easier when planning the dates and times for the rounds when setting up the actual tournament.

When finished adding the information, press Save and start adding players to the team.

Adding players

Search for the player's name, click the correct profile, and click Add. Repeat for all players.

The players will be added to the list shown under “Team players” in the picture above. You can assign a team captain by clicking the star in front of their name. Setting a team captain grants them extra privileges, such as entering scores on match night and setting the order of play, if used.

The last section is for those who want to pump up the team profile with a team logo and banner image. Click and add.
