The Series Event 1

Set Up:
6 Groups of 8 Players - each player has 7 matches (players on lowest points in each group will be prioritised for games)
4 Frames per match - 1 point per frame won in each match (head to head does not matter!)

Final Group Positions:
Positions are decided by Points only

Qualifying to last 16:
1st and 2nd are Automatic Qualifiers from each group (12 players)
4 places go to best 3rd place finishes

If 1st and 2nd are tied then a black ball shootout for position (3 shots each with white anywhere on or behind the baulk line, and then down to sudden death with white in middle of baulk line)

If 2nd and 3rd are tied with both qualifying regardless then a black ball shootout for position (3 shots each with white anywhere on or behind the baulk line, and then down to sudden death with white in middle of baulk line) - If only 2nd can qualify then a race to 2 for position

If a tie between 2 players for 3rd in the same group or between different groups then a race to 2 for position

If more than a 2-way tie for 3rd (i.e. 3rd, 4th,5th all on same points) then a blackball shootout (3 shots each and then down to sudden death) to decide 2 remaining players who will then play a race to 2 for position

Last 16
1st and 2nd finishers will be drawn out at opposite sides of the draw
No 3rd place qualifiers can be drawn against someone from their own group in the Last 16
