Robustness

Robustness shows whether a player has enough matches to have stabilized at his rating level. Normally this will be about 100 matches. The fewer matches, the greater the uncertainty.

Robustness is divided into 3 levels:

  1. Level 1 (0-20 matches played) - the rating will change quickly because the system is in the process of finding out the level the player is at.
  2. Level 2 (21-100 matches played) - the rating will change, but not as quickly as at level 1. At this point, the rating cannot be considered stable yet.
  3. Level 3 (over 100 matches played) - the rating is now "stable", and without surprising wins or losses, the rating will not change significantly.
