Round Robin to Single elimination update

Based on valuable feedback from the Cuescore community, we’ve introduced an optimized automatic draw for transitioning from Round Robin group stages to Single Elimination!

This new method ensures that matchups between players from the same group are avoided as long as possible, creating a fairer and more competitive bracket. It covers all variations of group numbers and single elimination bracket sizes, ensuring a smooth and balanced tournament experience.

The main objectives of optimizing the Round Robins, was to make sure that all players that have a seed are spread correctly over all the groups. This way their seed is reflected properly in this phase and when they go into the Single Elimination.

Of course results will also be of big influence on how players are positioned after the Round Robin! This now also reflects properly in the Single Elimination. Based on the amount of players that go through, we have made sure that all the participants are spread evenly over the bracket, minimizing any match ups with players from your initial group to the later phase of the tournament and matching you up with the correct opponent in terms of strength after the Round Robin.
