How to avoid teams from the same venue play at home in the same round?
It’s not uncommon that several teams have the same home-venue. When setting up a league you might want to make a setup where the teams do not play at home the same day , except for the match(es) where they play each other. The most common reason for this type of setup is if the venue has just a few pool tables.
If you know this is a problem for your league, you can use the seeding numbers to make sure one team plays away when the other team plays at home.
Planning for this is quite simple, by looking at the league brackets.
When all possible conflicts have been taken care of, close the seeding and create the match schedule.
Example:
You want to run a League 1x with 8 teams participating. Two teams have the same home venue and can not play a home match on the same day. In the brackets section I find the following setup:
Before you make a draw, you need to add seeding numbers to the two teams.
From the picture above you see that you need to use one of the seeding numbers pairs, 1-4, 2-6, 3-7 or 5-8 for these teams.
IOpen the seeding functionality (tools Icon when in edit mode for the league) and add seeding numbers to the two teams, 1 to one team and 4 to the other team.
Repeat with for other teams with the other seeding numbers (2-6, 3-7 and 5-8) where you need to avoid that they play at the home venue in the same round.
Now you can make the draw and rest assured there are no conflicting matches.
