Ladies and gentlemen, step right up. It's time for the first onepocket.org members tournament in Sweden, dubbed The Royal one pocket open, since it's being held at the prestigious Royal Pool Hall in Malmo.
Since this is our inaugural event, we're hoping to get at least 32 players. You need to be a member of the onepocket.org forums to participate. It's free and signup is easy.
As of right now, it's a €1000 added event, but we're still scouting for sponsors. With a full field, Winner gets €1300, second prize €650. Third and fourth get €325.
Play will commence on saturday at 10am and we will try to get through to the final 8 and then reconvene on sunday for the quarters, semis and the final. Double elimination until the last 8.
Special lunch deals will be available on both days and on saturday evening we will have a one ball one pocket event for anyone brave enough to participate. We might also organize a bank pool ring game.

The room has 13 tables. 9 Brunswick Gold Crowns and 4 Sam Steele tables. The GC on center court has tight pockets.

One of the tables will be live streamed throughout the event and we will of course be looking for guest commentators to join our streaming team in the booth.

The rules are standard onepocket.org rules with the following amendments:

Ball on break = Rerack
Two players can't be in the negative. If one player owes a ball and the other player takes a foul they even out.
A ball has to be completely over the kitchen line to be playable.
Grady rule in effect. More than 4 balls in the kitchen and the ball closest to the kitchen line gets respotted. If two balls are equally close to the line, lowest numbered ball is spotted.

No dress code

Entry is €50. Payment via cuescore.

If you need hotel recommendations, we have secured a 10% discount at The More Hotel, Mazetti on Norra Skolgatan 24. This is an apartment hotel located a 15 minute walk from Royal.

We would like to welcome you to the vibrant city of Malmo located in the south of Sweden. Easily accessible from Copenhagen airport, or by train from anywhere in Europe. You may wish to extend your stay, to visit any of the many attractions in the surrounding area, like the the turning torso, Malmo castle, the famous dome in Lund or the city of Copenhagen.
