Tuesday night Waikato VNEA Social League tournaments.
These tournaments have been designed to encourage and help new players and juniors to join the game of pool and gain experience in a competitive, friendly, and supportive environment using a handicapped system to help players play on a more equal field. Weekly entry fee is $15 (including $3 for the end of the year tournament; and $2 for the weekly 8-ball break pot). Juniors and complete beginners are $5 less. We will be running section play starting at 7 pm sharp. Top 4 from each group qualify for a post-section knockout final's board. Participants earn ranking points per tournament finishing positions. Payouts will be per tournament with a few dollars going towards an end of the year final tournament where the top 16 ranked players will qualify. Every player who participates earns ranking points Tournament season is expected to run up to 3 months. Must participate in 60% of the weekly tournaments to qualify for the end of year top 16. Tournament organizing committee has final decision on qualification process. Earned points are applied to this social league only and don't affect any other ranking systems.
