Standing Division
The NZPA Predator Parasport National Championship will bring together male and female athletes with musculoskeletal disorders to compete in two main categories: wheelchair athletes and standing athletes. The event promises to be a thrilling showcase of skill, determination, and sportsmanship. Eligibility Criteria Athletes in the wheelchair division must rely on a wheelchair for at least 80% of their daily activities. The standing division will include athletes with movement impairments in arms or legs, short stature, missing limbs, or joint stiffness. All athletes are required to be a NZPA member and provide a medical certificate verifying their movement impairments. Section play will be held on Saturday 17th May and will be a race to 4 (may change depending on entry numbers). Knockout play will be held on Sunday 18th May. Powered by Predator, the NZPA Predator Parasport National Championship will be played will be played on Predator 9-foot pool tables using Predator Arcos II billiard balls. Entries will be accepted via Cue Score and will close on Thursday 15th at 8pm. Entry is Free. Annual membership dues will be required to have been paid for this tournament and can be paid with your entry fee on CueScore. The annual NZPA membership for seniors in 2024 is $20, and $10 for juniors. All players will be competing for ranking points that will be used to select a team whenever NZPA is offered entries into international and World Championship events.
