1) Location/Rule set/Equipment: Phoenix Cue Sports, Eastwood. All matches to be played to World Rules using Aramith Pro Cup Balls and will be best of 8 frames (all 8 frames need to be played). All matches need to have been played by the final week of the season. ( be warned there will be no extensions).

2) Entry Fees: Total entry fee for the season for the Premier Division and Divisions 1-3 is £80, £40 Must be paid before the start of the season and all remaining entry fees must have been paid by week 12. Any players who have not paid their entry fees at this stage run the risk of being expelled from the league and having all their results and any remaining fixtures expunged (any money received at this stage will not be returned).

3) Prize Money/Trophies: The exact distribution will be calculated depending on the number of players and on all funds received during the season. In the event that players do not fulfill their entry fee requirements prize money will be adjusted accordingly. Trophies will be awarded to the winners of each division and will be kept at Phoenix Cue Sports.

4) Playing/General rules: The break of the first frame will be decided by lag, subsequent frames will be alternate breaks. Three points will be awarded for a win, one for draw. Only one match to be played each week unless a rescheduled match has to be played, fixtures will be published in full at the beginning of the season. These will be given to all players,are available on our notice board in the Phoenix and on the Notts Premier Pool League(NPPL) website. The league positions will be updated each week by the results secretary and will be available on our NPPL website and on our notice board in the Phoenix.

5) League position will be decided by the following criteria, in order; Points, Frames won, Wins, Head to head results, coin toss.

6) No-shows: If you are unable to play a match, please let Ron Sharpe know and your opponent know within 24 hours of your scheduled match. A full list of contact numbers will be issued at the start of the season and will also be available from the committee. We understand that emergencies happen, but late notice or non-attendance must be the exception rather than the rule.
If you do need to cancel players must call/message their opponent, posts on Facebook will not be accepted

The following rules apply if the event of a cancelled game

6.1) The player who cancelled the scheduled match is responsible for rescheduling.. If you have problems contacting your opponent to rearrange the match please let the committee know asap.

6.2) If you haven't arrived 30 minutes after your game was due to start and we haven't heard anything from you and neither has your opponent, the game will be awarded 5-0 to the opposing player (no exceptions).

6.3) If you or your opposing player cancel the original match and reschedule for another date and you do not show the game will be awarded 5-0 to the opposing player (no exceptions).

6.4) If you or your opposing player cancel the original match and reschedule for another date and your opponent does not show the game will be awarded 5-0 to you (no exceptions).

6.5) If neither player showed for original match, did not inform the committee nor the match has not been rescheduled the game will be declared void by awarding a 0-0 draw and both players will receive a 1 point penalty.

6.6) All cancelled games must be played within 4 weeks of the original cancellation date or by the end of the season (if the 4 week window does not apply), matches can be played at the Phoenix at any time just inform a staff member of the result.if no date can be agreed between the 2 players then the committee will set a date for the cancelled game to be played.

7) Players leaving the league: If a player leaves the league during the course of the season, the following rules apply;

7.1) No entry fees will be returned, to ensure a consistent prize fund.

7.2) If less than half of the matches have been played and/or half way through the season a substitute player may join the league. All of the departing players results will be expunged and any fixtures affected will need to be replayed against the incoming player. If no substitute player is found, all their results and any remaining fixtures will be expunged.

7.3) If more than half of the matches have been played and/or half way through the season and the player has paid all of their entry fees then all remaining matches will be awarded 5-0. Any player not finishing all the season will not be eligible for any prizes or entry into playoff's/team event.

7.4) If more than half of the matches have been played and/or half way through the season and the player has not paid all of their entry fees then all their results and any remaining fixtures will be expunged. Any player not finishing all the season will not be eligible for any prizes or entry into playoff's/team event.

8) Promotion/Relegation
At the end of the season the winner and runner-up from divisions 1-3 will be promoted and the bottom 2 players from divisions Premier-2 will be relegated. the only exception to this ruling is that if a player or players drop out of the league then these players will have been deemed to fill the relegation places in their respective league and in this event no players could be relegated or only 1 player could be relegated.

9) Player Ability
A player's ability will be taken into account when positions become available at start of the season to ensure that all players in their respective league have a fair chance of winning.

10) Players returning to the league

10.1) If a player decides not to take up the option of retaining their place in the league once the season as finished but later decides to return to the league the player will automatically go back into the division from which they left (providing there is room).

10.2) In the event that a player decides not to take up the option of retaining their place in the league once the season as finished but would have been promoted/relegated and later decides to return to the league then they will be placed into the division which they would have been in if they decided to retain their place (providing there is room)

11) Disrepute
Any players found bringing the league into disrepute will receive the following penalties:-

1st warning - 10 point deduction

2nd warning - Automatic relegation regardless of finishing position

3rd and final warning - Automatic expulsion from the league with a 2 season ban

12) Match-Fixing
Anyone found to be involved in Match-Fixing of any type will be immediately removed from the league and any monies paid in or due to be paid out will be forfeited.
