RnR In-House Handicap 9 Ball Series 2022 Details

The Rack N Roll in-house 9 ball handicap series will return with eight events in 2022.

 

This series of tournaments is only open to league player’s current and former, as well local players only (not an open event).

 

Entry fee will be £16 each tournament (plus money added to grand finals from each event).

 

The handicap system will be used will be -1 to 5 system. Each player will be given a handicap of -1 to 5 in the race to 7 and will have to win a fixed amount of racks unless playing a player of the same handicap.

 

The handicaps are subject to change between each tournament. Any changes will be announced after the tournament has finished to the players whose handicap may change.

 

There will be 8 events and a grand finals day as well at the end of the year.

 

The grand finals will be free for all those that qualify (£3 admin fee still to be paid) and will be limited to 16 players dependent on overall participation numbers (may be reduced if low overall number of entrants).  

 

·        The first 8 players (16 if 24 or more players play at least 3 events) on the rankings list after the final event will qualify. Players must have played at least three events to qualify for the grand finals.

·        In the event any player who qualifies is on the same ranking points, then this will be decided on their tournament average finish. If still level, then based on win percentage on games played. If still level after this, then the player with the best event finish with most players entered.

·        In the event any player who has qualified cannot make the date, then the player they would face will get bye.

·        The grand finals will be seeded with players seeded 1 to 8 (16) based on the rankings after the last event.

·        Money will be added to grand finals from each events entry fee.

·        Full prize money amount will be confirmed after the final event.

 

Here are the dates for the handicap series 2022. These are subject to change

·        Event 1 – Sunday 30th January. Winner - Aaron Hemmings

·        Event 2 – Sunday 20th February. Winner - Ellis Green

·        Event 3 – Sunday 13th March. Winner - Ashik Nathwani

·        Event 4 – Sunday 17th April. Winner - Rich Bennett

·        Event 5 – Sunday 15th May. Winner - Mick Hodgson 

·        Event 6 – Sunday 3rd July

·        Event 7 – Sunday  August TBC

·        Event 8 – Sunday October TBC

·        Grand Finals Day – November TBC

 

All the series tournaments will be double elimination up to the knockout stage.

·        A race to 7

·        Alternate break through out

·        A field of 25 to 32 will be double elimination up to last 16

·        A field of 17 to 24 will be double elimination to last 8

·        A field of 16 or less will be double elimination to last 4.

 

Below are the races for each handicap.

 

If you play a player of the same handicap (-1 to 1 player’s only) it will be a scratch race to 7 (0 to 7) apart from players of the same handicap as below:

 

·        Two 5 players playing each other will start at 4 each in a race to 7

·        Two 4 players playing each other will start at 3 each in a race to 7

·        Two 3 players playing each other will start at 2 each in a race to 7

·        Two 2 players playing each other will start at 1 each in a race to 7

 

Now here are the races for each handicap against the other handicaps (these will be reviewed as we go and may be adjusted if needs be). 

 

-1 players as below:

·        v 5 player, The game will start (-1 v +5)

·        v 4 player, The game will start (-1 v +4)

·        v 3 player, The game will start (-1 v +3)

·        v 2 player, The game will start (-1 v +2)

·        v 1 player, The game will start (-1 v +1)

·        v 0 player, The game will start (-1 v 0)

 

0 players as below:

·        v 5 player, The game will start (0 v +5)

·        v 4 player, The game will start (0 v +4)

·        v 3 player, The game will start (0 v +3)

·        v 2 player, The game will start (0 v +2)

·        v 1 player, The game will start (0 v +1)

 

1 players as below:

·        v 5 player, The game will start (+1 v +5)

·        v 4 player, The game will start (+1 v +4)

·        v 3 player, The game will start (+1 v +3)

·        v 2 player, The game will start (+1 v +2)

 

2 players as below:

·        v 5 player, The game will start (+2 v +5)

·        v 4 player, The game will start (+2 v +4)

·        v 3 player, The game will start (+2 v +3)

 

3 players as below:

·        v 5 player, The game will start (+3 v +5)

·        v 4 player, The game will start (+3 v +4)

 

4 players as below:

 

·        v 5 player, The game will start (+4 v +5)
