Rack N Roll In-House Handicap 9 Series 2020

Dec 19, 2019 Keith Walkerdine

Full details on the in-house 2020 series

The rack n roll in-house 9 ball handicap series will return for its second year in 2020. This series of tournaments is only open to league player’s current and former, as well local players only.

There are some changes from the 2019 series, so please make sure you read all of the below.

Entry fee will be £15 each tournament (£10 in the pot each tournament, £2 admin fee + £3 added to grand finals)

In a change from last season’s handicap system a new but similar handicap system will be used. This system will be -3 to +5 system. Each player will be given a handicap between -3 and +5 and effectively be splitting the difference in the race to 7, rather than having to win a fixed amount of racks as per last handicap series.

The handicaps are subject to change between tournaments. Any changes will be announced after the tournament has finished.

There will be 8 events and a grand finals day as well at the end of the year. Money will be added to the grand finals day as well money from each tournament added as well.

The grand finals will be free for all those that qualify and will be limited to 24 players dependent on overall participation numbers (may be reduced if low overall number of entrants).

  • The first 24 players on the rankings list after the final event will qualify (Players must have played at least two events to qualify).
  • In the event any player who qualifies is on the same ranking points, then this will be decided on their tournament average finish. If still level, then based on win percentage on games played. If still level after this, then the player with the best event finish with most players entered.
  • In the event any player who has qualified cannot make the date, then another spot will be offered to the next person on the rankings list.
  • The grand finals will see the top 8 seeded players based on the rankings after the last event, seeded into the 2nd round. The other 16 players will then be drawn for the first round.
  • Money will be added to grand finals from the club, as well money from each event entry.
  • Full prize money amount will be confirmed after event 8.
