Opening season details for winter season 2021/22

Dec 6, 2021 Keith Walkerdine

Details for this season

With the new 9 ball season starting Tuesday 7th December here is some information regarding League Information, League Cup and Mick Walkerdine Cup, Playoffs, Promotions and Relegations.

General League Information

Remember fixtures on the website are just a guideline and subject to change, so unless you hear directly from Keith always assume you have a game. Some weeks this may be two games but you will be informed beforehand if this were to be the case.

Once you and your opponent have both arrived then you will entered in to the queue of games for the evening.

If you cannot make it on any week then please inform me by 5.30pm. If you are running late then please tell by 6pm also if you can.

If you fail to show up without informing me your game may be forfeited.

If you inform me too late that you are running late. Then racks could be awarded to your opponent should the game be postponed for a later date and I can’t find them another game on the night.

If repeated no show without warning then you may be removed from the league and any entry/game fees owed to be paid.

These are at the organiser’s discretion only.

Games are due to start at 6.45pm onwards but we may start earlier in some cases.

In a division 2 and 3 it will be the top 4 players in the play-offs. The players in 3rd and 4th in the final table will play in the quarters. The winner will take on 2nd in the semi-final. Both the games will be played in the same night.

The winner of the semi-final will then move on to the final to play the player who finished 1st in the division the week after and the winner of this will be crowned division champion.

The play-off quarter, semi-finals and the Finals to be played on date to be announced.

Players that finish top in division 2 and 3 will automatically be promoted. The next promotion place goes to the player that gets to the play-off final.

In the event of any other promotions it will be based on final league position up to the final playoff position.

The players that finish in the bottom two places (or three depending on numbers for the following season) in each division will be relegated. Some players may not be relegated if numbers for the following season change drastically.
