ONE BALL ONE POCKET — SIDE EVENT RULES
ENTRY & FORMAT - Entry fee: € 25,- (AT VENUE) - Signup closes 30 minutes before start - Payout: top 4 (top 8 paid with 32 players or more) - Race to 3, both sides of the bracket PAYOUT SCHEDULE 100% of entry fees are paid out. Fewer than 32 players - top 4 paid: 1st: 50% 2nd: 25% 3rd: 12,5% 4th: 12,5% 32 players or more - top 8 paid: 1st: 40% 2nd: 22% 3rd: 12% 4th: 12% 5th-8th: 3,5% each THE BREAK - The rack is a single ball, frozen to the center of the foot cushion. - The breaker chooses their pocket and breaks from behind the head string. - The breaker may not shoot at their own pocket on the opening shot. They must play a safety away from their pocket: the object ball must come to rest past the first diamond (short and long side-cushion quadrant). - If the breaker fails to do so, the opponent may choose to play the table as it lies or re-break themselves. - Standard legal-shot rules and foul penalties apply on the break. RULES OF PLAY - All regular One Pocket rules apply. - On a scratch or foul, the offending player spots an additional ball, and play continues with the offending player now needing two balls to win. WINNING THE GAME - The first player to pocket their required number of balls in their pocket wins. A player who owes a penalty ball must clear that debt before the game ball counts. - 3rd Ball rule: To keep games from dragging on after multiple fouls: if a player already needs two balls (due to an unpaid earlier scratch or foul) and commits another scratch or foul that would put them at three balls needed, they lose the game instead. Fouls do not need to be consecutive; no warning is required. This rule supersedes the standard One Pocket three-consecutive-fouls rule.
