Details for series the in-house 9 ball handicap series.

The In-house 9 ball handicap series will consist of five or six events plus the grand finals in 2026.

This series of tournaments is only open to league players’ current and former, as well as local players only (not an open event). Entry fee will be £20 for each tournament (money added to grand finals from each entry fee). The dates for each event will be subject to change.

The handicap system used will be -5 to 4 system. Each player is given a handicap of -5 to 4 in the race to 7. Each player will start each game on their handicap. The handicaps are subject to change between each tournament. Any handicap changes will happen after each tournament has finished.

There will be five or six events and a grand finals day as well at the end of the year. The grand finals will be free to all those that qualify and limited to a set number as set out in the information below.

·       Must play in at least two events to qualify for the grand finals.

·       The first 8 players, if 16 players play at least two events, the first 12 players if 20 players play at least two events, 16 players if 24 or more players play at least two events on the rankings list after the final event will qualify.

·       In the event any player who qualifies is on the same ranking points, then this will be based on the number of events played, then their tournament average finishes. If still level, then based on win percentage on games played. If still level after this, then the player with the best event finish with the most players entered.

·       In the event any player who has qualified cannot make the grand finals date, then the player who they would have faced will get a bye.

·       The grand finals are seeded players 1 to 8 (12 or 16) based on the rankings after the last event.

·       Money added to grand finals from each event’s entry fee.

·       The full prize money amount confirmed after the final event.

 

Details for tournament on the day

·       Doors open at 10.45am with play starting at 11am.

·       Limited to 32 maximum entries.

·       In-house handicap system of -5 to 4

·       Double elimination to knockout round (To last 8 if 17 to 32 players. To last 4 if 16 or below).

·       Race to 7 (handicaps included).

·       Alternate break.

·       9 ball rules apply, except for the following two ball at the back when racking up. Also when a player is on the hill: They will need to call the 9 ball and the pocket or call the nine and the pocket if playing a combo or carom on to the 9 ball. If a golden break and they haven’t called the 9 ball and pocket before the break, then the 9 ball will be re-spotted. In the event the 9 ball goes in a pocket not called, then it will be re-spotted and opponent plays from where the cueball finished.

 

·       If you’re 15 minutes later than start time, your game will be forfeited.

Payouts on the day, money added towards the grand finals and running cost as below:

£2 admin from each entry fee goes toward running costs, topping up prize fund etc.

At least £4 from every entry fee will go towards the grand finals.

·       19 Players = £265. Winner £110, Runner up £55, Semi-final £30, Quarter Final £10

·       20 Players = £280. Winner £110, Runner up £60, Semi-final £35, Quarter Final £10

·       21 Players = £295. Winner £120, Runner up £65, Semi-final £35, Quarter Final £10

·       22 Players = £305. Winner £125, Runner up £70, Semi-final £35, Quarter Final £10
